The Challenge
HRCSB found that there was a need in their community to raise awareness of four medication drop boxes accessible to the public. The Behavioral Health Wellness & Learning Coordinator found that the drop boxes were not being utilized, therefore wanting an integrated marketing campaign to raise awareness of the locations, as well as explain how easy it is to drop off medications.
An additional challenge was wanting to reach people who speak English, Arabic and Kurdish, as those are the top three languages spoken amongst refugees in the Rockingham County area
The Solution
RGC created and designed posters, a magnet, social media ads, and billboards for this medication drop box awareness campaign.
The social media ads were then translated into Arabic and Kurdish and strategically targeted to reach the most people in their area.
The magnet was created to be added to direct mailings being sent by HRCSB.

The Results
A typical ad recall lift in any social campaign is 9%; RGC was able to secure an 11.4% ad recall lift for this campaign, meaning the ads were remembered at an impressive rate.
The billboards were placed in high-traffic areas, with easy-to-read and digest information.
Billboard Impressions: 58,595
Number of weeks live: 4
Creating awareness of medication drop boxes showed the public that HRCSB is a reliable source of information and services, that they care about the public’s safety, and informed them that old or unused medication in a household could be dangerous.
